May's Shopping Haul

This weekend was a bank holiday weekend in England so me and some family went on a shopping trip to Southampton, i only had a few things i needed to get for my leavers ball coming up in June, but of course if i was going shopping, i was going to shop well and come back with a few more items than i imagined, i bought some clothes ready for the nice weather, some new make up and few other bits too.

First stop on the trip was primark as it is super cheap, and i think why buy it somewhere else when you can get it cheaper for a good quality here. I got a green midi skirt which is high waisted and has a flower pattern all over and fully lined underneath so it is not see through, looks really nice for everyday with just a black vest tucked in, or you could easily dress it up for the evening with some lovely nude heels. I got a black and white stripped swing dress, it has very thin thread straps, it hangs well as it is a heavier material.

These little shorts are really thin material but i loved the bright pattern and will be great for relaxing around the house, but for taking on holiday to get to the beach and such. As well as clothes in primark i also bought a new lampshade as currently i just had a bulb hanging from ceiling, i picked up this paper sphere with a pretty floral pattern all over, as it is a light colour the light shines through really well.

Second stop on the list for clothes was newlook which i picked up a white strapped crop top, it has a cut out flower pattern over the top which is lined underneath with thin straps, this will be great for the summer over maxi skirts or shorts and will show of a good tan. I also couldn't resist the flowered scrunchie which a pale pink and a floral pattern again, it will look cute when wearing my hair but also fits over the top of a bun.

Lastly on the hunt for clothes was H&M where i found a navy blue cardigan, which is very basic but something i was intending to buy as it goes with a lot of things, and easy to put on when it gets a little chilly. Also as a surprise find was a little fitted shirt which is a denim blue colour and white birds on it, having sort sleeves means you wont get too hot in the summer, if England gets any sun, but you could wear with some jeans or even pair it with a nice skirt and wedges for the nicer weather.

As i can not go anywhere without looking at makeup, i found a lipstick stand and couldn't resist, so i tried a matte purple colour, and it is one of my favourites, it surprised me for the good, the colour is bright, applies easily, and has a good lasting time.

Next was the hunt for some heels to go with my dress for leavers ball which was the actual reason for the shopping trip, i found a pair from the brand, Irregular choice in the shop schuh and fell in love with them as soon as i put them on, i will be doing more of a post on my outfit in another post, but these are very comfy and easy to walk in as they have a thicker heel and don't make me look too tall as i am already about 5'9.

Last but not least was the makeup purchase, i can't go anywhere without hunting down the mac shop or counter and with the new one in Southampton i thought why not, i got the pro longwear foundation which is a medium coverage but can be built up and has a matte finish, as well as the studio fix powder which works as a great setting agent and finishes off the look.

MUA Make-up Haul

This month i have tried not to spend any money on make-up as I needed to start saving for practical things, you know like those pet fish i bought woops, but obviously you can't go without buying a little something so I limited myself to some things from MUA as i don't feel as bad knowing its cheaper than a high end brand but I feel just as good and some of my favourite products, so i wanted to share these with you.

Velvet Lip Lacquer - Atomic - Right
This is a very bright red, orange colour which is amazing but now think i may regret it slightly as it is definitely bold and bright but still lovely none the less. It has a great pigment and the texture is glossy when applying and dries nicely to a matte texture. It also has great staying power all day and is quite tough to remove but I think this is a good thing.

Plumping Lipgloss - Buff - Left
This is a very neutral tone which is great for everyday if you like to wear something but don't want to go too bold. It has a glossy shine to it without leaving your lips too wet or too sticky, the consistency is great. The colour is not bold but good for all day shine and last fairly well.

Liptick - Shade 11 - Left
My final lip product is the £1 lipstick, this is so cheap and one of my favourite lipsticks and shade. It is again a neutral shade or brown with a slight pink tone but with less shine and more pigment than the gloss if you're looking for something with more colour. Staying power is not too bad, I would apply after eating with this one but that's expected to some extent.

Blush - bubblegum - Right
This blusher is actually a brighter pink than the picture, it doesn't do it any justice but I couldn't get a better one so left it at that. I love the colour of this but will never wear it full on and always blend it out to make it a softer pink, put applies and blends great on the skin for a lovely finish to any look.

Elf Make-up Haul

At the beginning of November, Elf cosmetics celebrated having 20,000 follows on twitter by having a 50% off code to use online, now of course I could not resist and turn down this wonderful opportunity and went a head a bought a few different make-up pieces. I have used all of the products but not all of them enough to give amazing reviews but I still wanted to share the products I have with you.

I got 3 lipsticks, all quite similar colours, of a pinky red colour. At only £1.50 they are an absolute bargain and are really great lipsticks, the pigment is pretty good and lasts quite well too. I would say the darker shades are better lasting but maybe that is to expect.

From left to right the colours are: Gypsy, classy, fearless

Next with my purchases are 2 cream eye products. A cream eyeshadow at £3.75, this is a blue metallic colour which as you can see shows a lot more colour on the skin than when in the pot. It is again quite pigmented and because of the creamy texture you only need to apply a little bit to the eye. Also a cream eyeliner at £3.75 in black which also comes with quite a nice little angles brush to apply it with.

Colours from left to right: Teal party, black

The last things for this mini haul is powdered blush at £3.75, this is really great and quite subtle so this is really nice to wear on a day to day basis but can definitely be built up to create a darker colour. Finally a lipliner at £1.50, I wear quite a lot of burgundy or dark pinker red colours so I wanted something to wear with these to help keep the lasting time. This works really nice and easy to apply all over the lips.

Colours from left to right: bitter, mellow mauve

The prices shown above are the original prices for if you bought the products now with no offers. But all in all with 50% off I only spent roughly £8.60 which is really great value for great products.

October Haul

The month of October has been and gone, I shouldn't wish the time away, but it means it's getting closer and closer to Christmas and my 18th birthday so I can not wait. But the point of this post is, during October I ended up buying quite a few different products and clothing so I wanted to do a little haul and show you all what I got. Now for saying I am mainly a beauty blogger and love all things make-up, I could not justify spending money on non-essential products last month as some new winter clothes were a must buy for the drop in temperature in the UK.

- Acid wash jeans - £22.99
- Navy blue jeans - £19.99

- Burgundy skirt - £12.99

- Flowered 3/4 length sleeve crop top - £9.99

- H&M nail polish - £2.99

You can probably tell that my two favourite colours this season are burgundy and teal, I absolutely love them. Hope you enjoyed xxx

Beautifully Matte And BabyLips

After stopping by a boots store when I had some time to spare, I ended up buying a couple of new make-up products. One of those is the No7 beautifully matte foundation, and the second is, of course the Maybelline baby lips lip balm, if I'm honest I did not know about these and their big hype till a little while ago, but yes I joined the band wagon and bought a couple as I just couldn't resist. So for today I thought id review both products.

My first product is the No7 beautifully matte foundation, I really like this product and is one of the best foundations I have used. It is very matte but I suppose you should expect that really, this was something that I was really looking for as I have oily skin and this helps a lot. The packing says it will keep your skin shine free for up to 14 hours, personally I don't think that is true at all, but it does last me for a whole school day which in total is about a good 9 hours, I will always carry powder with me anyway to touch up if I do start to shine. It has a medium to full coverage so I don't tend to put a lot on, I use about 2 pumps for my whole face and a little down my neck to blend in.

I got this in the colour Deeply ivory which was colour matched to my skin in the shop, I do have a tan at the moment so it maybe a little too dark in the future but is greatly matched for now, I was told to mix with a little moisturiser if it needed lightening later on. I think this product blends fairly well, however due to how matte it is, it can feel a little heavy on the skin so I may not wear this on an everyday basis but for evenings out and special occasions it is great

So overall I do really like this product and would definitely recommend it, and at only £13 it is something most people can afford without breaking the bank or can easily save up for quickly.

My second product is the Maybelline Baby lips lip balm, which I mentioned earlier I joined the band wagon of everyone else and just couldn't resist buying two. Overall they're just basic lip balms and keep your lips from cracking, yes you can get the same quality for a cheaper price, but personally I just think they look cute with a great packaging and they have a very great scent. I got one with more pigment which is Cherry me and a plane moisturising one to see the difference, in the quality of product there really is no difference, but if you want something with a little colour I would definitely chose Cherry me as it does leave a tint of  pink stain on your lips and looks great for everyday, or can even try another pigmented colour.

Have you tried any of these products and how would you rate them? Would love to hear others opinions. xxx

Shopping Haul

Hey Hey,

So lately over the past week I have had two different little shopping sprees, one from my trip to London, and the second in Bournemouth. I thought it would interesting to do a haul of all my buys, hopefully you will enjoy that, and will give you a few ideas and hints for outfits yourself. It's going to be split into 3 sections, clothes, make-up and other bits and bobs (:

For my clothes, In primark I bought a pair of skinny pin stripped ankle grazers, these are in a turquoise minty colour, I love these because they're quite a stretchy Jean material so super comfy to wear and great for everyday, the colour is amazing and really good to pair with other things, they are also just a perfect fit for me. Also from primark I got a denim pinafore dress, it's really cute, great for everyday wear and the length is really good as it is not too short. As well as a plain white t-shirt and a black vest top. Their basic range is really great as it is super cheap and the quality is not too bad, I always pick up plain vest tops here as it doesn't matter too much if they get ruined and need replacing in a few months time.

From New-look I got just a plain red crop top, this is to wear underneath the dress, the colour is really bright for summer and stands out underneath the denim, its a stretchy material so fits tight to your body. I also got a lilac purple crop top from republic to wear underneath the dress, the front is a normal round neck top, but the back is cute as it goes up into a bow at the back.

In a little shop called pull and bear, I bought the giraffe tee, I love anything giraffe so when I saw this I had to buy it, it is great for everyday wear and will go perfectly with my new jeans. This shop is great and I love it, I don't know many people who know about it, but would recommend it to anyone, it is pretty affordable prices too (this is always a plus).

My make-up purchases used up quite a lot of my money, but it was all worth it, for my cheapest buy I got a new make-up and travel bag from primark for only £4, the colour is really pretty with a nice little pattern on it. As for actual make-up, from MAC I got a new lipstick, in the colour impassioned, shown on the look in my previous post, it is a bright pink colour, lasts for a good amount of time and has a shine to it. Also from MAC I got an eye shadow in the colour gleam, it is a bronze colour with shimmer, its a really subtle colour but great for all over the eye lid for everyday wear if you want something which is quite neutral.

Also for make-up I bought two new brushes, both from the make real techniques, I got the expert face brush and the shading brush, they're really soft brushes so nice and gentle on the skin, the expert face brush is great for applying my foundation, it helps blend it into the skin really well. Would highly recommend these to anyone.

To finally finish this post (sorry if it is rather long) is my other bits and bobs, which really only is one other thing, I actually ordered this on-line but thought I would show you anyway. I have an olloclip lens for my iPhone, it is a three in one lens with a wide angle, fish eye and macro. It is a really good product, works well and comes out with some great final pieces. Down below will be a few images to show you and end this post.

Hope you enjoyed this post xxx
