DIY - Bow Jumper

This is a new little thing that I'm thinking about starting, DIY posts maybe once every two weeks. I know lots of people do this already and this post in particular i got inspired by Marzia as i have re-designed my jumper and added bows to the back.

You will need:
- An old jumper
- Pieces of ribbon
- Needle and thread
- scissors

To start of with i tied all my pieces of ribbon into little bows, you could make them as a big as you wanted and any colour you liked, i chose white to match my jumper but you could chose a contrast colour to make it stand out.

I then sorted where i would put the bows on the back of the jumper and mark out how long the cut will be with tailors chalk, but you could use a pencil, and then cut with scissors.

For this next part i used a sewing machine as it was quicker but you could do it by hand if you preferred, i turned the jumper inside out and folded each side of the cut back and sewed it to make a hem and stop the jumper from fraying.

Then with a needle and thread, i chose white thread to make it as invisible as possible on the jumper, I sowed the bows down the back of jumper bringing the whole together in even intervals.

With this jumper the sleeves where too tight so i cut a small slit up from the wrist and rolled it up and hand sewed on the seem to keep it together, this help open the sleeve and make it a little different.

OOTD - Ready In Red

I had longer to get ready for college today, so that means I can actually take my time doing my make-up and choosing an outfit, I'm not rushing around thinking ill just throw on some jeans and a casual top whilst running out the door at 7am. So i made an effort i suppose, and i thought id share my outfit as it was really cute and i really liked it today.

Black tights - Primark
*these items were bought a while back and not in store anymore so the link is something very similar as an alternative.

This was the make-up look i paired with it which i will be doing a post on soon.

Hope you enjoyed this short little post.

OOTD - Christmas Fun!

It is now only 14 Days, yes 2 weeks until Christmas so I thought it was definitely acceptable to bring out my new Christmas skirt and create a little outfit for this, So why not share it with everyone else. On a side note, 14 days till Christmas, 15 days till I'm 18!!!!!

There is not much writing to this post, apart from, I fell in love with this cute burgundy knitted Christmas skirt, It has a very cute reindeer and fairailse pattern on it, and for only £8 in primark I thought why not. It was surprisingly warm considering I wore only skin coloured tights underneath. I then tucked in a plain white vest top, and put on my cream spotty blazer from H&M, I love this blazer as it is a neutral colour and can be paired with most things to finish off the perfect outfit. I will however say, I am going to purchase either a cream or burgundy vest top, as I did feel the white looked slightly odd, but I had no other choice this morning.

I apologise for the bad quality photo's now.

Super Hero Fancy Dress

This weekends adventure includes a fancy dress birthday party, the theme is super hero's and villain's so that leaves me with a lot of choice. As it is close to Christmas and do not have much money to spend, I wanted a great character but with not having to spend too much money, I also didn't want to be a typical or well known character as a lot of people would think of that. So for my costume I decided to go with Hit girl from the Kickass films. I decided to share this all with everyone to help anyone else who may have a fancy dress party and give you any ideas.

Most of the costume is very simple but some of it is handmade, this is thanks to my mum as she likes a little sewing now and then. Alot of the things I had already so didn't need to spend much. Her main colours are purple and I stuck close to the original outfit as much as I could. The clothes I'm wearing are:

- Primark - purple footless tights
- Black lace Tutu £5 - Picked up from a little stall but could find them in a lot of cheap shops
- Tartan skirt - £2 for half metre of material - hand made
- Pink belt - hand made from ribbon
- Primark - Purple long sleeve top
- Black cape - hand made
- Dr.marten boots - Already had these, Definitely did not go out and buy this specially

Usually hit girl wears a black mask across her eyes, but I didn't really want to do that so I did my make-up all nice instead. I also wanted to dye my hair purple anyway so this added to costume anyway. I'm not going to go through all of the products, but I will say some of the main ones with there colours.

Eyes:
- MUA eye shadow in purple blended with a black from the outer corner
- ELF cream eyeliner black

Lips - Mac lipstick in the colour cyber

Hope you enjoyed this fun little post, I'm really happy with how the outfit turned out. Leave any comments on your opinion, would really appreciate it (: xxx

Halloween Costume

It's Halloween tonight, If you didn't know that where have you been, But you are never to old to dress up so I decided to create my own little outfit and share it with all of you, It is probably slightly late as most people would be out by now if you're in the uk, but enjoy anyway. I dressed up as a witch because that was the best things I could find in my house... It was either that or tinkerbell, and as much as I love tinkerbell, She's not very scary for Halloween.

- Black dress - H&M
- Black suede brogue heels - Newlook
- Witches hat
- Witches broom
- Purple spotted fake lashes - Poundland (not best quality at all)

Hope you enjoyed this post, have a great Halloween and I shall leave you with a picture of my pumpkin I carved out. xxx

OOTD - Monochrome

Yesterday I braved it outside after the terrible storm we had in England. Well It was the worst the UK have had it for a long time anyway. There was a Lot of destruction done over the whole country, but luckily for me, nothing was too damaged around my town and village so I managed to make it out and spend a day in town with my family. As for my life story of yesterday I wanted to share this cute little outfit I put together.

I have just realised when writing about this, that my whole outfit is from newlook woops, Just shows how affordable it is, and the fact it was the only decent shop in my town for ages. But my outfit consists of:

- Plain black tights - £2.99
- Hight top converse - £55.00

Hope you liked My outfit of the day xxx

Winter Wardrobe

As winter is close and weather is getting much colder, I've realised my winter wardrobe is not the best, so I thought I would put together a few different things to show what I'm liking at the moment and what I may buy to add to my winter collection. There are 3 different groups, coats, jumpers and warm leggings too.

I have not changed my coat in about 2 years as I don't really like wearing one, but as my parents keep moaning that I should get one I decided to have a search. This search was very hard as I am one for being very picky on the type of coat I want. In the end I found 4 that I don't mind too much, and for reasonable prices in high street shops too.

Jumpers are another thing that is low in my wardrobe, So I searched for a few different knitted jumpers that I can put on to go with jeans or skirts and layer up underneath to keep me warm. I found some great Christmas ones with designs on the front and some nice plain ones too.

Lastly I decided to look for some leggings, I have really got back into wearing these in the winter as they are great for keeping you warm with skirts or shorts if you don't want to wear jeans. I prefer things with patterns rather than plain colours so I found 4 different pairs each with a great pattern and some colour.

Do you fancy any of these yourself, or have you got anything different to show ? xxx

OOTD - Paramore concert

Yes I went to a Paramore concert this week, and I will say it was amazing. I have loved them for so long but this was the first time I had ever seen them live, and it was the best night of my life. Hayley and the rest of the band are amazing live, they sound just as good and can really get a crowd going, I wish I could have stayed forever. Besides the point of me going and it being great, I wanted to share my outfit and make-up for the night as I thought it was really cute and maybe you'd like it too.

For my outfit I wore a black and white checked high waisted skirt, this was from new look, but was purchased a long time ago so won't be in stock any more, however I'm sure you can find similar styles of this in places like H&M and Newlook still. I then paired this with a cute green crop top with the word 'Boffin' printed on the front, I would not normally wear a top like this but this is a family joke so I couldn't resist buying it. Finally wearing black patent Dr.Marten boots to finish off the outfit, this gave my girly outfit that little bit of rock style I love and of course, I get my inspiration from Hayley.

During the concert I also purchased one of the Paramore tour tops, in a green colour so I wore this over the top of my outfit for most of the night too.

Above are photos showing my makeup that night. I wore a slightly winged black eye , using natural collection liquid liner, follow by coating my lashes with Maybelline the falsies mascara. For my eye brows I filled them in a little with a pencil and used the new Maybelline brow drama mascara. I also highlighted just on the brow bone with a little cream eyeshadow.

For my face make-up I'm wearing No7 beautifully matte foundation, blended from the middle outwards, then using Natural collection concealer I put a little under my eyes and then on any red areas, mainly around the nose and bridge of the nose. I used Rimmel stay matte powder and then applied Rimmel Blush and blended out lightly to keep it just a subtle  pink colour. Finally for my lips I wore collection 2000 lipstick in the colour sugar plum, this is actually less pink than it looks in the picture but my lighting changes the colour.

Hope you enjoy this post, and watch out for the next one. xxx
